FAQs

Straight answers

Including the ones that cost us the sale.

  • Can you guarantee we’ll appear in AI answers?

No. Nobody controls model output, and any vendor offering that guarantee is either mistaken about how these systems work or willing to say things that aren’t true. What we can do is measure where you currently appear across a defined prompt set, improve the conditions that make citation more likely, and show you the movement…

  • Do you offer a results guarantee?

We guarantee the work, not the outcome. We’ll agree a falsification test with you before starting — a measurable result at 90 days that would tell us this isn’t working — and we’ll tell you if it fails rather than filling the report with activity.

  • Do you require a minimum contract?

No. Retained plans are rolling with 30 days’ notice. Scoped website work has a defined start and end. If we need a minimum term to do the work properly, we’ll say why before you sign rather than after.

  • Do you use AI to write content?

We use it for research and drafting support, and every published piece is edited and fact-checked by a named person. Every statistic we publish has a source, a sample, and a date recorded before drafting begins. Unedited AI output is rarely cited by AI systems, which makes the shortcut self-defeating anyway.

  • Does schema markup get us into AI answers?

Not on its own. Google has confirmed structured data is not required for generative features. Schema is worth implementing for rich results, other engines, and entity clarity — but anyone selling it as an AI visibility solution is overselling a useful technical detail.

  • How do you decide which prompts to track?

From your evidence, not our assumptions — sales call recordings, support tickets, and the questions prospects ask before they contact you. A prompt set built from a keyword tool will measure something, but not what your buyers actually ask.

  • How long before we see results?

Measurable movement in citation share on a tracked prompt set typically takes 8–16 weeks. Enquiry volume changes lag that. Revenue lags further, by roughly the length of your sales cycle. Anyone promising results in 30 days is describing activity, not outcomes.

  • Is SEO dead?

No. Click-through rates fell sharply on queries where AI Overviews appear, but on queries without them, Seer Interactive measured CTR rising from 2.8% to 3.8% between early 2025 and February 2026. Queries that don’t trigger an AI summary are becoming more valuable, not less. The correct response is a portfolio, not a replacement.

  • We already have an agency. Is this a replacement?

Often not. AI visibility measurement sits alongside existing SEO and paid work more often than it replaces it, and we’re comfortable working next to an incumbent. If we think you’re paying twice for the same thing, we’ll say so.

  • What can’t your AI Presence Score tell us?

It’s a sample, not a census. It can’t tell you what a model says in conversations we didn’t sample, it can’t attribute revenue, and it will move when models update without anything changing on your side. We publish the scoring method including these limits.

  • Which AI engines do you track?

ChatGPT, Google Gemini, Perplexity, Bing Copilot, and Google AI Overviews. Most businesses genuinely need two or three of those. We’ll tell you which apply to your category rather than charging for all five by default.

  • Who owns our accounts and content?

You do — all analytics properties, ad accounts, CRM data, and everything we produce, assigned outright rather than licensed. Agency-owned accounts are a lock-in mechanism, and we publish an article naming it as a red flag.

  • Who shouldn’t hire you?

Companies whose enquiry path is broken — fix response time and routing first, it’s free and it works faster. Companies below roughly $400/month, where tracking overhead consumes the budget. Companies in categories where AI answers rarely surface. And anyone wanting guaranteed placement, because we can’t offer it.

  • Why are there no performance statistics on your website?

Our stats array is deliberately empty and every statistic component renders nothing rather than a placeholder. It’s enforced in code. When we have verified numbers with sources and dates, they’ll appear. Until then the absence is the honest state.

  • Why don’t you have case studies?

Because we don’t yet have client results we’re permitted to publish with signed approval. We’d rather show nothing than show estimates. Every case study we eventually publish will include what we’d do differently, and until then this page will keep saying this.

  • Will AI citations send us traffic?

Mostly not. Pew Research Center found that only 1% of visits produced a click on a source link inside an AI summary. Citation matters because it puts you in the consideration set — absence from the answer means absence from the shortlist — but it is not a traffic channel and we won’t sell it…
