An AI Presence Score is a composite measure of how often and how prominently a brand appears across a fixed set of AI-generated answers. It samples a defined prompt set across named engines and tracks movement over time. It is a sample, not a census, and cannot attribute revenue.
Built from three inputs: citation frequency, position within the answer, and prompt coverage across the tracked set.
Scores move when models update, independently of anything you change — which is why the trend matters more than any single reading.
Any vendor publishing an industry benchmark for their own proprietary score has invented it. There is no shared standard.
