It does not matter which you choose, only that you choose one and redirect the other to it consistently. Serving both without a redirect splits signals across two versions of every page.
Set the preferred version in WordPress under Settings > General, and enforce it at the server level too.
Change it once, early. Switching later means a site-wide redirect and a temporary dip.
Check that internal links use the canonical form rather than relying on redirects.
